Description of Skyrider
Skyrider is a horizontal scrolling shooter comparable to Goldrunner. In order to progress, you have to destroy all surface targets and make it to the end of the stage. Hazards are enemy ships, forcefields, collidable objects and turrets with nasty homing projectiles.
Unlike most other shmups, you can turn around and modulate your vessel's speed. It I sluggish though and makes reacting to anything really difficult. I'm still not convinced Level 2 is beatable, because it ends with a very tight obstacle course and even getting this far is a challenge.
It does however feature fully digitized audio, and while the laser sound will quickly get on your nerves, the intro soundtrack might be the best part of the game.
