@awashnut actually the motto refers to ABANDONWARE games. As this game is no longer abandonware due to the copyright holders deciding they want to start supporting and selling the game again, it is no longer free.
Abandonware, by the way, refers to software, including games that are no longer sold, no longer supported and while still protected by copyright, the copyright holders don't bother to enforce said copyright anymore.

I have a bit of a request to whoever it is who uploaded this game to here. You see, this is the earliest version of the game that was released, and by extension, has a variety of glitches. This version has an instance in a stage where a key is suspended in air above a pool of water which you can't make without exploiting cheats. If at all possible, I'd like to ask you to reupload this game's later version (Version 1.32, I believe) so that people don't get stuck on various parts that weren't ironed out in this version (Further incentive: This version of the game has been cited for preventing the player from reaching a schoolhouse in a certain level that has the Standard Galactic Alphabet written on it for people to find). PLEASE READ THIS!

Thank you very much for hosting this. I have many happy memories playing this as a little tyke on computers that would now be *politely* called 'legacy hardware'. Am setting up the Keen series for my younger brothers with Dosbox, and I think they'll really get a kick out of it.
It is a shame that the 2nd series ended unfinished with Keen 6..perhaps someday a dedicated fan can fill the gap. (I'd love to, but I can't program worth beans) I'll always have a special place in my heart for the pint-sized hero who kicked alien tail all over the galaxy with a little green stunner, a pogo stick and a jerry-built spaceship.
