Thank you to myabandonware.com for hosting the game files. When you click on the download link, select the one I put up at 336 mbs. Unzip it wherever you like in your file system. Navigate until you find the lore.exe.
(MGTGames/DHLI/lore.exe)
Double click on the Lore icon and the game will start will start. If you want to just check out the game or practice, select single player. If you want to go online , pick multiplayer. Since registration is not necessary, pick a player name and password you like (you can register your nick and pass with normal IRC commands if you want to reserve it). You will now login to multiplayer. If Windows asks for permission to run, select yes. At the top is the server tab. The community hosts a server and should be on the list. click on that then "join server". Unless this re-release takes off you will probably go up against bots. We made them better though, so they are an excellent way to explore the game world. If you want to play humans, we set up matches on our groupspace forum located here. https://dhlore.boards.net/
Anyone is welcome. There's no stats anymore so die all you want. Nobody cares. Just have fun!

Holy crap! Those pics are all from the vids I did for the game. There's even a pic showing the dropship I never released. You can still get the game. Contact pbgslingshot@comcast.net and I'll be more than happy to let you have a free copy that actually still works.

Been looking everywhere for this. Far more impressive than I expected. I have the much newer pay version of this on Steam that uses the Unity engine rather than the the Tribes engine this uses. Nevertheless this version far surpassed my expectations. I played the crap out of Mech games in the 90's and had just about ever major one and some of the lesser known ones. Still some of my favorite games to this day. I could care less about graphics. These games were just loaded with fun.
