Description of Dime City
This follow-up of sorts to Mad TV (designed by the same designer) is based on the same engine and look, but unfortunately it lacks the charm and wit that make Mad TV an underground classic.
This time instead of a hapless TV reporter in love, you are a gangster wannabe in love who must amass fame and fortune by nefarious means to achieve his heart's desire. Recruit thugs, plan shootouts, and more in this unique game that doesn't live up to Mad TV, but comes close at times.

Here is the infamous adult patch: https://www.patches-scrolls.de/patch/1274/7/
it unlocks something with "Metal-Anti-Jodella" in the game (untested).
The patch was only available on disk by mail order at Starbyte via age verification.
Aftermarket versions (from magazine CDs) higher than 1.0x (1.3.USK in "Starbyte Collection") may not work with that lower version patch. It is probably intended for initial "1.0.USK" only. (The USK versions are probably all censored while the non USK versions are not)

- The 2 MB archive contains something that is called an English Beta version, which is actually not properly working.
- CFG Fix for the German 10MB rip version (also diable speech sound in the main menu to avoid program crash)

Replace # with the gamepath
The German version will start
It will crash for answering the secretary cause the directory SPEECH is missing.

I cannot get sound to work in game. Sound works in the setup/test for both digital and Midi.. but the game is silent.

The game didn't run at first either for me. I tried running it with dos4gw dime.cde and that worked. After that the dime.bat and run.bat worked too. Guess it had to create one file first for the rest to work.

english version starts but seems to be a not playable beta of the game.
german version simply doesn't start
