Ironically one of the weakest expansion packs for Duke3d is the easiest to set up on dosbox and eduke32, no special iso extractions (like "duke it out in dc" or "duke Caribbean"), no in-game patches (like "duke!zone II"). the expansion itself is fine, a christmas themed duke adventure about stopping evil Santa. The real problem with the game is that it feels lackluster aside from few good levels, holiday music and the enemies wearing Santa Claus/Rudolf costumes and 4 exclusive enemies but they feel like the other enemies just with a different coat of paint. overall i did enjoy this expansion but it could have been much better. i read that that devs "Simply Silly Software" never planned to make a Christmas theme expansion, just a little christmas pack for main game, but the publisher took that idea and made them make a full expansion of this on tight budget and deadline which explains why some of levels are recycled and overall feels rushed.
