Eagle Eye Mysteries
DOS - 1993
Description of Eagle Eye Mysteries
One of the best edutainment titles ever that both kids and adults will enjoy, Eagle Eye Mysteries is a fun detective game released under the now-defunct "EA*Kids" label.
The game stars young detectives Jake and Jennifer of the Eagle Eye Detective Agency. You can choose to pair with either Jennifer or Jake to solve crimes in Richview, searching for clues and questioning witnesses. There are over 50 cases, ranging from missing items to "Case of the Ghostly Ghost."
To bring the culprits to justice, players use their detective's notebook to prove the case through motive, means, and opportunity. In each engaging mystery, children hone their reading comprehension and problem-solving skills, while picking up science and history facts along the way. With the cases progressively harder to solve, the children's interest is always held and upon the successful completion, positive reinforcement is doled out appropriately by printing the detective's name and your solved crimes in a scrapbook that can be saved and viewed at any time.
Even years after its release, this game and its sequel Eagle Eye Mysteries in London remains high on many schools' lists of recommended CD-ROM products. If any edutainment title deserves to be called "classic," this is it.

https://archive.org/details/eagle-eye-mysteries-peter-pan-cd this is the ISO you need from the national Archive.

For those who haven't gotten the sound to work... That's a limitation of the emulator you are using, and this file. Use DOSBOX-X instead, download the Peter Pan / Eagle Eye Mysteries combo disc (from Creative that was bundled with the SoundBlaster 16) ISO on Archive.org, make a C folder, mount the C folder as your C: hard drive in DOSBOX-X using the GUI, mount the ISO as the D: disc drive in DOSBOX-X using the GUI, change directory to D:, type install, option 4 for Sound Blaster is what you want. When you're ready to play mount the C folder as the C: hard drive, mount the ISO as the D: drive , change directory to the D: drive, and then type EEMCD. Your save files & settings will be in the C folder, and you play off of the ISO.

Does anyone know how to get the sound working? I tried the settings and it says sound is on, but I don't hear any characters talking. :(

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I loved this game as a kid!!!
It's sad though that its missing the dialogue sound, that was a big part of what made the game great.
For those not familiar, as you go through book 1 & 2 they are the "same" mysteries, but the culprits are different and require more work to solve.

So exciting! This was one of my favorite games as a child and I never thought I'd see it again. Hopefully my daughters can experience critical thinking like this when they get older.

they aren't actually the same (book 1 && 2) they are the same name cases but different suspects

There are many different mysteries to solve within the game, and when you complete one "book" of mysteries, the next book becomes available. Unfortunately, the various "books" of mysteries are just harder versions of the ones in the first book, with a couple of new mysteries thrown in occasionally.

Gah, looking back on my previous comment I realize how unclear I was. All of book 2's mysteries seem the same as book 1 (begins with the stolen skateboard, etc.).

I'm playing this via Boxer on Mac, and when I go on to book 2 of mysteries, they're all the same. Is anyone else experiencing this?
