• The best way to play the game on modern systems is to run it on Virtual Machine. Looks like the game works the best on Windows XP, so it is recommended to use it to play the game. * To install the game on Windows XP, set the compatibility mode with Windows 98 for Instalar.exe. To play the game, set the compatibility mode with Windows 98 for CT2.exe, otherwise the game may freeze during the loading
• It is unknown what the patch v1.0.2 is updating, but the game can be completed with or without the patch. Remember to set the compatibility mode with Windows 98 for CT2.exe from the patch too
• Also, it seems that it is possible to run the game on Windows 10 without any Virtual Machines. The game was proven to work on Windows 10 if you run it through dgVoodoo 2 utility, but you need to configure dgVoodoo 2 settings for your system; the disc must be mounted in virtual drive before the launch. Try to run the game with different dgVoodoo 2 settings and see how the game works on your computer
• Unlike the first game, you cannot run this one without the CD by simple copying of files from the disc to hard drive. It seems you will need to HeX-edit the executable file to be able to run the game without the CD, check this thread for details. We also recommend to check taht thread if you have any other technical troubles with the game
