game doesn't save at all... I boot up.. can play.. saving refuses to work and doesn't appear to save anywhere. This appears to be a terrible copy of the game

Download the main file and unzip it to a folder.
You need a virtual CD/DVD Drive to mount and install the ISO image.
You can also unzip the iso file into a folder using 7z and run the install from there instead.
Install to an easy to find location such as c:\EvildeadRegen.
Download & extract the nocd crack to a folder then open the folder and copy the exe file by right clicking and left click on copy.
Go to the install folder location and right click on an empty space and left click paste. It will then ask you if you want to replace the file in the folder. Click yes. Then you can double click the replaced file to start the game.

forgive me but i have no idea what im doing. I downloaded all the files and opened the launcher, which will get me to the title screen, but when i go to play it just gives me an "error while launching the game" message and I can't figure out what to do from there.

i am using windows 11 and un zipped the file and it mounted to drive e but will not start it says no CD and i am no pc wiz and dont understand what to do please help

Go to program files- THQ - evil dead regeneration folder
Then double click on Launcher.exe then click on settings to change resolution

Super Important!! DO NOT TOUCH!! your mouse or keyboard for the first 1-2 seconds after the game loads. If you do. You will lose mouse and keyboard.. It states this on the pcgamingwiki.

Got the game working on windows 11, but man it wasn't easy.
1.- The nocd patch here is incomplete, you can get one that actually works in GameCopyWorld, here's a link:
(NoCD on this page replaced with correct one)
Even if it says it's for version 1.0, it worked fine for 1.1 using the patch from here.
2.- The game has problems with DPI scaling, as a matter of fact, it crashes with DPI scaling, to fix this you can go to the properties of the "EvilDead.exe" located in the root folder of the game, inside the "game" folder.
Once you go to properties, go to the "compatibility" tab, then click on "Change high DPI settings" and the click on the check "High DPI scaling behaviour override" set it to "application" click apply, okay, and then save.
Thanks to myabandonware, hopefully they can add the full patch from GameCopyWork to the download links.

if you having issues saying "Disk not found"
do the following:
copy crack file example:
G:\Crack
to
install path example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Evil Dead Regeneration\game

Alright, so I downloaded the ISO. I did not mount it using any program but instead just activated the installer in that. I than copied the patch to the main folder, the game folder and the data folder. had it repair in each one and now when it loads the controls seem fine. The NO-CD is busted i think so you have to leave it mounted.

The No CD crack isn't working for me either, and yes I have it under the game folder, not the root, I replaced EvilDead.exe with the NoCD version.
I keep getting the same error, "Please insert DISK1 and restart the game."

To those having the now CD problem, copy and paste the file in the file in the crack folder and paste it into C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Evil Dead Regeneration\game (or the similar folder for wherever you have it installed).

Heads up: Once you start the game, don't touch the mouse until gameplay starts.
Doing so before it does causes the controls to become unresponsive.

I tried the no cd patch. It's just the evil dead.exe patched the launcher.exe is not patched. I tried to run the evildead.exe and it just takes me to the launcher and says no cd inserted.
