IMPORTANT GUIDE!
I couldn't run the game and it took a while to find solution, sharing it with you.
Steps 1-5 are installation which are basic, but step 6 is VERY important because game runs like poop without it.
1. Mount the .iso from the archive
2. Run setup.exe (u can ignore the startup.exe)
3. After installing, open crack folder from the mounted .iso
4. Move .exe file from the crack folder into main game folder replacing the original .exe
5. Move config.xml file from crack folder into data sub-folder within the game folder
6. IMPORTANT!!! Google "audiere.dll" and download it from the first link. It's an audio-related file for games, which is outdated (version 1.9.3.0 in .iso) on this site.
7. Put the downloaded audiere.dll into the game folder with replacement.
8. You can now finally play the game without having to wait literal minutes for the menu to load. You are welcome.

So after spending more time and hassle on looking for alternate downloads than I should have, turns out I was indeed being a bonehead: the "config.xml" file from the crack goes in the game's "data" subdir, not the base install dir. It replaces the default locale="it" line with a locale="uk" one that gives you the English version.
locale="es" also appears to be valid if you want Spanish.

The current ISO download is marked as English, but when I installed it, it was in what appears to be Italian and unless I'm being colossally oblivious, didn't seem to have a language switch option anywhere.

Yep whenever I have a bit of freetime I will just hang around my local McDonalds, whenever somebody walks in I am just like
"Food Sucks"...
They will than say
"Why thank you, so do you have an alternative I may purchase"
I than reply to this with
"Food Sucks"
I saved lives today. I bet if there where more of me all wars would end, nobody would be homeless. Tomorrow I may go stand outside Wal-Mart, and everybody that walks in I will just say
"Prices Suck"

I absolutely LOVE how the person who comes in to tell you "Game Sucks, there are better games from same time period. However not one of them has ever mentioned which game is "better". If your not going to share what is a better game, what is the point of telling everybody the game sucks? They are still going to play it, cause you failed to leave a recommendation thus making the entire exchange pointless.

Wow, 'OldGamesAreMadeBetter' has one heck of a "condemnation" for this game.

Horrific loading times, bad animations, poor combat, bad textures, this game came out in 2005 and there are better looking and better gamepley games on consoles from the same time.
