Description of Hook

Hook is an average game based on the movie of the same name, which is a modernized version of the classic tale. Peter Pan, who is now living a normal adult life, is compelled to relive his roguish past when his old nemesis Captain Hook kidnaps his children.

Vibrant graphics, charming Tinkerbell as your sidekick, and decent puzzles can't hide the below-average writing, awkward interface, and the fact that the adventure is over all too soon.

game files fill in just 1 floppy disk. with these graphics and lots of places to visit, that fact has always surprised me.

How to actually start the game? When I run it, the intro starts, then the credits... and then it's back to the menu.
I tried pressing all different things and none take me to actual gameplay. "J" results in some joystick calibration screen, but I don't have a joystick. Actually, the only joystick I ever owned turned out to be unplayable because of being very small and so sensitive that even blowing on it would have created movement.

@JULIE: You need a DOS emulator such as DOSBox.

I played this game in 1995, the pc version is a unique version of the game, since snes and other platforms but amiga changed the game a lot. Great adventure, on par with the standards of those days.
I found the initial stage soundtrack simply magical at the time. And untill this day i try to convert it to midi from the game files to play in a real acoustic guitar, worth listening.
