This game is a bit hard to get running, nekoneko provided the following help to get it running.

1.Neko Project II

Hold the [End] key pressed and reset the emulator. [HELP] key is peculiar to PC-98. Neko Project II substitutes the [End] key for it.

NP2_0001.BMP : Select [ディップスイッチ2の設定] and hit the [Enter] key.

NP2_0002.BMP : Select [2.5MHz] and hit the [Enter] key.

NP2_0003.BMP : Select [終了] and hit the [Enter] key or hit the [Esc] key.

NP2_0004.BMP : Select [終了] and hit the [Enter] key or hit the [Esc] key.

Restart the emulator.

2.Anex86

Remove the checkmark from [GDC clock 5MHz] > see Anex.jpg

If Kurayami freezes or doesn't run for certain scenes, for optimal running I'd recommend tweaking your Compatibility tab in Properties. Select your game copy to run as “Windows XP (Service Pack 3)” and also select “8-bit (256) color” via Reduced Color Mode.
