Lagaf': Les Aventures de Moktar - Vol 1: La Zoubida
DOS - 1991
Also available on: Amiga - Amstrad CPC - Atari ST
Description of Lagaf': Les Aventures de Moktar - Vol 1: La Zoubida
A decent platform game that's identical to Titus' earlier The Fox: From Here for Marakech, except that you are now controlling Moktar, a plump Arabian adventurer similar to Nintendo's popular Mario.
Nothing is wrong with the game-- it just feels like a rehash of many different platform games that's been done before, and better. If you like The Fox or any other Titus' action games, you'll probably like this one. If you're looking for a creative platform games without repetitive levels, play Disney's or Infogrames' games instead.

I'm assuming "HOTUD" stands for some clueless numpty who wrote the above on the old Home of the Underdogs site. Couldn't be any more wrong about the correct order and the game. This is actually one of the better platformers from the early 90s (and so was Titus the Fox). Too many blinded Mario Bros fanboys out there...

Titus has released the title in France after the success of Lagaf's song "The zoubida". You can see "Lagaf" tags on the walls (in the first level, after some screens). The song describe the adventures of Moktar who has stole a scooter to go, with "la Zoubida", to a party. But "la Zoubida" is grounded by his mother... What a story, what an adventure ;)

They released the same game but with a different main character named "Titus the Fox".
