Description of Mick Monster: Panik im Labyrinth

Top-down action/arcade game, released exclusively in Germany.

The action takes place in a huge old mansion (with dungeons, secret closets and passages and other tricks), and at each new level mansion's layout changes. Before the start you can choose a protagonist-hunter from six proposed candidates: 2 men, 2 women, one Neanderthal in animal skin and the alien from unknown planet.

The task of each level is to catch one instance of the creatures indicated in the lower part of the screen; sometimes its cells are connected to each other by arrows, which means that you will have to catch the depicted creatures in a given location not arbitrarily, but in some established order. The capture is carried out as follows: you must carefully shoot at the monster until it turns gray (and either freezes or seriously slows down); then you need to get close to him and quickly (this is critical, because physical contact with the enemy in any state - including this one - leads to a very rapid loss of health) apply a trap (one of the F1-F8 range buttons responsible for using portable items; under which of them the trap is active is shown in the lower left part of the screen, the same applies to other things taken), after which the creature will disappear, and you can safely kill its relatives until the end of the stage.

As soon as the representatives of the "declared" species are caught, a golden key with one or another number appears on the screen; you need to take it, find the door with exactly the same symbol and go to it, as a result of which there will be a transition to the next stage. From time to time you can find bonuses to restore your health and ammo, keys to open doors and yellow circles with grids, which are traps for monsters.
