Description of MicroLeague Baseball II
Micro League Baseball series are surprising little games for their time that sport graphics and gameplay improvement with each new version.
The games offer a selection of history's most powerful teams and you can pit them against each other in league play. Each even has a stat compiler that allows you to keep records on each individual. I was impressed at the amount of strategy that can be used in each game. You can go head to head with another human or you can play the computer, decide which players are in the line up, what pitch to throw, how to swing, how to run the bases, how to position your fielders, etc.-- a baseball strategist's dream.
With the fact that you can get team disks, the replay value is very high. They are games that belongs on every sports fan hard drive. I rate them a 4 out of 5.

I've been looking for the full version of this game since my original discs went kaput. This version not only doesn't bypass the copy protection, it also lacks the real fun GMO owners disc and Stat Compiler. Never been able to find it because of the heavy copy protection sadly :(

"XYZZ Does not work here!!"
Still present as an error. Makes me sad cuz I love MicroLeague so much.

Hello Bill. That was a weird bug that I experienced when I originally played the game on an Atari ST. I don't think they ever fixed it.

I can tell you why that happens. If you remember...the game came with a code that needed to be entered. The code was in the rulebook. If that code was not entered, the game would end exactly like you stated in your message.

I used to play this game all the time, so much so that I wore out the floppy disks.
I downloaded this game and launched it in DosBox. at some point during the game, it goes freakish. all the players run off the field and a message appears "XYZZ Does not work here!!"
Anybody have ant clues?
