Description of Racing Destruction Set
Here is the video game “Racing Destruction Set”! Released in 1985 on Commodore 64, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's a racing / driving game, set in a combat vehicules theme and it was released on Atari 8-bit as well.

I remember setting the gravity to "Io," and having a blast! Not many options like that today.

Always remembered this game on the c64. Wasn't brilliant as it had quite a few flaws, but was really interesting and fun if you could get round it's limitations. Good stuff :)

...and if the gravity was low you would hit a mine or jump and launch completely off the track.
I learned about the moons of various planets via this game and the gravity settings! My brother and I spent a lot of time in this game...as we would play the tracks that I created and race against one another.

Remember this game well. Enjoyed being able to create my own track and customize the vehicle. Dropped a mine against my brother on a single lane track section on the last lap in a race when he was already damaged. He had so little speed, that when he hit the mine (with moon gravity) he blew way into the air and came down on the mine again and again until is car was nothing but debris, and I laughed all the way to the finish line.
