You play as the smiley face. A number of snakes (depends on which version you're playing) are circling around inside cells of green dots. One of the snakes can eat its way out, and other snakes get released. Avoid the snakes' heads, as that kills you, but contact with snake bodies does not.
Eat all the green dots, avoiding the snakes' heads. Once all the dots are eaten, you then eat the snakes, but you must eat them from the tail first.
