Space Quest 5 The Next Mutation 1993 is the best in series.

I LOVED space quest as a kid. played 1 through 5 and never even heard of a 6th. 20 years later i see it and will play it.

Heya, I'm finding the game crashes when I'm up to the bit where you scan the hair for DNA. When I try to leave the room, it crashes back to DosBOX. Any suggestions?

Just use the sq6dos.exe or .com file to get the game to work on DosBox.

For those Space Quest fans like myself that could not get the download of SQ6 to work from this website I have the solution. Note that I could not find the english version of the game to download. What I did find was the french version of the game that works great. All that is needed is the current version of Dosbox. The website is http://www.abandonware-france.org/
For those that understand French this is great.For those that don't like myself, it works. I tried so many times and ways to get SQ6 that I will take whatever version I can get and be happy with that.

To run this game you have to make an image file or write it to a CD what you downloaded from here.
Modify the Dosbox conf to use a CD-ROM.
Install the game from the mounted image file of from the CD.
If you use file navigator in Dosbox you have to exit from it. Start the SQ6DOS.BAT file from the DOS line.

I played this game before I could read. I'm almost 20, and I have to download it again. I watched it earlier on youtube and am finally old enough to catch the jokes and references! This is great!

Works until you need to print files in the printer in cyberspace. That part will not work with several different machines, or using any of the basic normal hacks to fix the game (editing resource.win, etc).
