For those who don't know yet there is a new Space Quest remake out now. It's called "Space Quest 3D" and its freeware here: https://turbochimp.itch.io/space-quest-3d. This game its Space Quest III reimagined in 3D, full voiced acted, graphic adventure. I wont say it's a better game compared to the original, but its good enough for those who don't liked those old retro pixel graphics without voice acting.

i use linux so to make the game run just cd to the directory and type "chmod +rwx *" without the quotes and run in dosbox

To make this work in DosBOX go to the folder with Windows Explorer and right click on resources.cfg and untick the box for "read only" then apply. Go back to DosBox and mount the directory and run "install.bat" - seclect you options - then run "sciv.exe"

This works fine in dosbox!! It seems the file wasn't properly named and you need to use the SCIV.exe

I only ever played this SQ game to completion and I loved it. I tried one of the later ones but I didn't like the interface so I gave up.
