Description of The Secret of Monkey Island
The Secret of Monkey Island is a video game published in 1990 on DOS by Softgold Computerspiele GmbH, U.S. Gold Ltd., Lucasfilm Games LLC. It's an adventure game, set in a fantasy, graphic adventure, comedy, sea pirates / caribbean and puzzle elements themes, and was also released on Mac, Amiga, Atari ST and FM Towns.
The first episode of the well known Monkey Island series, very well received by the critics.

@Human Bean: There are several versions of the .adf files, but you only need to unpack 4 of them (disk 1-4) and load them into your Amiga emulator (like FS-UAE Launcher). You should also find some Kickstart.rom files and import them into the emulator.

Press F5 to save, load, or quit. Note that the into takes a little while to finish and you have to let it finish before you can load your game.

The steam version isn't the original. The original is abandonware. Steam has the remastered version, which has hideous graphics.

Isn't working with OS X El Capitan, when extracting the file, i get two .000 files unable to open. Any idea?

I first played the Amiga version (decades ago) but lately I've been playing the DOS EGA version and I'm very impressed at how good it looks! These guys really put a lot of attention to detail in the dithering, to make the EGA screens look good. It's now my favorite version. And I think Loom EGA also looks great...
