I know this game was kind of almost finished in the product. I realize that it was less tasteful than Vietcong 1 and probably not the best game in the whole series. But at least I can aim with iron sights fully, aligning from the rear to the front sight with my gun, not just at the front post sight like Vietcong 1. Also, sometimes can get away from jungle fighting in some of the levels and see urban combat it's worth it. It's interesting to see more weapons and units, as well as soldier customization of uniforms on Vietcong 2. Of course, unfortunately, the game did not explore and expand enough, also didn't hold up weight at all.

But yeah, it’s better than modern games—better than some free-to-play games that then ask for a pile of cash from you. It also holds up my memories and feels classic.

This is a bad shooter, maybe the worst, and it's not the developers fault, it's the publisher's fault, since the first game and the datadisc were commercial success 2K Games demanded another part, but there were problems with the new Engine so the development was delayed, then 2K Games still didn't like the game and talked the Czech developers into developing it, that's why it's such a terrible FPS.

And the developers themselves admitted in hindsight that it was just a commercial project and that 2K Games wanted to get it out quickly to make money and didn't care about anything else, and the developers themselves from Pterodon studio later admitted that the game shouldn't have seen the light of day in that state

In the words of one of the developers, "We knew we were releasing a broken game, we knew it would hurt the fans, and it hurt us too, but the publisher was pushing so hard that there was no other option, and in hindsight I'm very sorry for ruining our and your favorite franchise."

Anyone know how to bypass the directplay and directx install? Trying to install them doesn't work at all on win10 and relaunching asks for the same thing again.

the game lunch's normally when i start it up but when i skip the 1 cutscene the screen glitchs and it wont let me play even if i watch the whole cutscene the screen turns black and it glitchs i tried everything but it wont work no matter what i do please help!

After Vietcong, this was a big disappointment and was never really accepted by the community at the time of it's release. Still a decent tile if you are into the Vietnam was gaming scene.
