why buy the new and expensive X-plane 11 when you can go on this site and get an outdated version for free :P

Hi Fliboy !
You get the "string too long" error because of the file name path is too long, so just install the game in a directory "close" to the root of your hard disk and it should be OK (with the noCD patch as you did).

Can't get this running.i unzipped the x-plane 6 which created a x-system 6.13 folder i ran the x-plane 613 exe and got the no cd error so i ran the nocd crack which asked for a destination. I Apply mine to the x-plane 613 exe now patched i ran it and got a string to long error what am i doing wrong?
