Description of Armor Alley
Armor Alley is without a doubt one of the most fun and complex multiplayer action games ever made.
The premise is simple: eliminate the opposing team from the playing field. The execution, however, requires strategic planning as well as reflex: you must stage combined arms assaults using helicopters (which requires refuel at landing pads), infantry, and tanks.
Modem and serial play are supported, and computer AI is competent in solo mode.

The game "Glory Days 2" on Nintendo DS is a wonderful remake with good graphics. Hard to find, because they don´t mention the grandfather.
There should be more games like this. (or Choplifter)

This is one of those classics that I spent many many hours playing back in the early 90's. Game is great solo, but also great with other players on a LAN. Best with 2 or 4 players, and of course 1 player (solo).

Form a convoy as you desire. The units pop out of your base and proceed towards the enemy base at a fixed speed. But you also have your free roaming helicopter, which can blast enemy units or dogfight the enemy helicopter. Makes for an addictive and unique game.
