It's definitely an interesting attempt to innovate on Commandos formula. There are no special abilities, you only have your weapons - but that offers you surprising amount of options.
For example, some people have knives that let you take out enemies like most backstab abilities in these games; silenced pistols let you take out enemies quietly from slight distance, but they don't kill instantly, so unlike knife throwing/harpoon abilities, there is risk involved; snipers work like they always did, long range with limited ammo. Most interestingly, regular unsilenced pistols are useful because they make noise - which you can use to bait enemies (or by being seen briefly, as the game is much less focused on not being spotted) without using as much ammo as an SMG would (which is stronger in straight combat).

It's extremely janky and unpolished, but when it clicks, it gets way better. Even weirder when you consider it is a licensed movie tie-in.
