After downloading the ISO zip package and unpacking it, mount the the first ISO file with a CD emulator (such as WinCDEmu) and then run Setup. After installing, mount the second ISO file (flt-das2.bin) and copy the Data folder to your game's installation folder. If asked, accept the overwriting of any files copied. Then after downloading and unpacking the NoCD package, copy and paste the Skye.exe file and overwrite the original file. After that, you should be able to run the game using the Skye EXE file (worked on Windows 10 for me).

IMPORTANT STEP!!! 2023-06-18 1 point
There is an incredibly important step not mentioned on this page or in the downloads:
Make sure to mount flt-das2.bin and copy the Data folder to your game's installation folder, or you're gonna have a real bad time.

For the people asking how to run the game, get Virtual Clonedrive from the link on the /howto page, then mount the ISO and run as if it were a physical disk. Install the game from there, and then run the application with the ISO still mounted.
Though I can't get the nocd patch to work

I actually own the original game and what i describe is the final fight with the endboss, where your mother and the now unmutated goblin (Yes, i really have issues remembering useless NPC names ;) ) are standing beside you. The hail of bullets on 800 MHz single core hardware is so intense that it takes not even a second until one of your "helpers" dies, effectively ending the fight immediately as the win condition is not only killing the endboss but also keeping both allies alive.
Maybe this version actually has an adaptive speed control that prevents this issue, i have to confess i used my original.

Now that is odd, Shadrim described the battle with the General, but not the battle with Necroth himself. That battle you are solo and is pretty much a 3D version of a bullet hell. It makes me wonder if this site has the full game? Or was Shadrim just describing the game from his memory?

This game can be tricky, especially in the later levels where unfair enemy spawns are becoming the norm.
The rather inefficient and rare clues can be circumvented by one of the many walkthroughs, the sometimes extremely annoying leveldesigns that consist of precision jumps while being fired at not so much.
Although the comments and storyline are really nice and funny, the leveldesign seems quite unrefined, especially the harsh change of world themes and level necessities. You activate magic not only by progressing in the game (which gives you some "spell slots") but also have to put in frustratingly rare "skittles" in the respective spell slots to acutally being able to use that spell, sometimes leading to fiddling around in the skittles menu while being in the middle of a fight/jump sequence.
It is essential to get some kind of slowdown software for the endfight (speaking for the original version played on an ancient dualcore) or the thing is over in a fraction of a second as the final endboss will roast both your allies with his hail of whatevermagic in a fraction of a second.
The even more ancient PC where this endfight was manageable for me was a 800 MHz singlecore so any slowdown software or emulator should be set to about this speed.
Don' t worry, the dying text of the boss is not very elaborate so you can skip to the endmovie, which is viewable in VLC or the like.
