Disney's Duck Tales: The Quest for Gold
DOS - 1990
Also available on: Amiga - Atari ST - Commodore 64
Description of Disney's Duck Tales: The Quest for Gold
Although not commonly regarded as a formidable software developer, Disney nevertheless scores big with this game, an entertaining mixture of platform and arcade, with a bit of strategy thrown in (you can buy/sell stocks, and choose where to hunt treasures).
As a certain well-known miser Duck, lead your troop of 3 restless nephews on a global hunt for treasures. Get them before your rival Duck!

The game is fun, though problematic.
Worth trying if you are a fan of Ducktales, but that's about it.
I made a video review of the ST version if anyone is interested.

Is there anywhere to find an un-modified original copy?
This one already has the 'DRM' removed.. I am trying to find a copy of the original game.

Is there a copy of the manual available? I played this a ton as a kid but I remember needing the manual to play the stock market.

Talbin - You can buy any Controller or Joystick/Pad you like.
I myself use an i-Bufallo classic Pad which works very well with such games as Lemmings.
Whether it works with a game or not depends solely on your system and the emulator. You do have to set it up in DOSBox first for it to be available in game though. If you happen to use D-Fend Reloaded press F4 and change all the relevant profiles. Under the heading Joystick you can set it either to Auto or 4-axis. Either way should be fine.

If I buy a modern joistick for pc, one of the retro joysticks made like in the old times, will I be able to use this for abandonware games, or can the game not register a modern usb stick?
