Description of Dreamweb
Possibly one of the best cyberpunk games ever made, Dreamweb is immersive, challenging, and fun. The original archive was full of ARJ files and not pre-cracked. This new archive has Dreamweb packed into the self-extracting RAR format and the game is pre-cracked.
Run dweb.exe to begin extraction of the files to the directory of your choice. Use Dw.bat to start the game. Dreamweb ran OK for me under pure DOS and a Win 95/98 DOS box. If you have trouble, boot into pure DOS or use a bootdisk for best performance. Dreamweb needs at least 590k EMS, which can be solved by trying a boot disk.
The game is not guaranteed to run under Windows NT/2k/XP.
Have fun and enjoy the game 8-)!

Had this game on a CD-Rom as a kid. Very unique and dark for the time, fond memories. Excited to find it again, thanks!

This game was an interesting experience back when I played it a few years. As previously mentioned, the game is now free to play and available on ScummVM's website.
Worth grabbing it there for some extra goodies. Apparently the game came with a book called "Diary of a Madman". That's included with the game, plus the manual. I recommend giving that a read.
If nothing has changed in that version, like I remember, it is not cracked. The password on the computer is "blackdragon". Can't remember if it is typed without spaces or not. Also can't remember if there's any other stuff that served as copy protection.
Might play this again in the future to see what I think of it now.

I played this back in Secondary school when me and a couple of friends started up a school PC games magazine with reviews and stuff. Like the big mags we made a floppy disc that came with it, the first issue had the shareware version of Dreamweb on it.
Great game.
Good Times.

I'm halfway through the game. So far its amazing and I'm coming from Monkey Island like quality games! Although I can't say I like its 'top down' camera view and poor resolution. Great story so far, impressive music... There're so many items to pickup and ways to interact with the environment that it feels pretty natural... Truly worth a REMAKE...
