Le Deuxième monde (The Second World) was the first French multiplayer virtual world, a virtual Paris in which people interacted through avatars. The game was published by Canal+ Multimedia and online servers were working until 2001. In 2014, one of the original creators of the game hosted a multiplayer server, for some time but it is closed now. You can read more about the game here

Notes:
- This archive (a courtesy from Sylvain Huet, the founder of Scol) includes the inital version of the game from 1995. The archive contains all files of the game and a full Scol version 3.2f. Even though the multiplayer servers doesn't work anymore, you can still walk around in singleplayer. To run the game launch UsmWin.exe and in the window choose
Bookmark(orFavorisin French) and click on2emonde - If the game doesn't work - run it on Virtual Machine with Windows 98 or XP. The game was tested on Virtual Box with Windows 98 SE, it works fine
