I remember playing In Search of Spot when I was little. I played it over and over and over. I memorized all the dialogue and mumbled it to myself when I was alone. I would pretend that my buddy Spot had been kidnapped while doing routine repairs and I had to follow a trail of space trash across the galaxy just to get him back home.
Beginning to end, the game is short and can be finished in a matter of minutes. It's designed that way to encourage multiple playthroughs on different settings. It's also an opportunity to blast things with lasers, convert space trash into fuel, explore caverns, run around and fly with a jetpack, and practice math skills while doing it.
This game was later remade as Math Blaster 6-9 with enhanced animation and a (similar) story where Spot gets kidnapped by a gelatinous alien and his friends have to solve similarly-structured math challenges to get him back. But I still like this earlier version.
