For those of you only seeing .ds_store, download Stuffit Deluxe v5.5 and do the same process. It worked for me this way. Stuffit Deluxe serial number is a file in the same folder the installer is in. Good luck gamers.

No download, just a bunch of crap and some religious poem

Actually...never mind. Extracting that other game must have slapped my computer awake or something, cuz it just extracted PP there was never a problem at all. ???? I didn't change anything or do anything different......I have no idea. But I'm playing now! Thanks.

So a different mac game, (Quarterstaff) extracted perfectly. There's gotta be something different about this file....

I put the downloaded .sit on my faux mac hard drive. Stuffit expander is installed, I drag the .sit to it. Then a new folder "Power Pete" appears. There is nothing inside it but .ds_store. I have also tried running expander and running the .sit from the program itself. Am I missing something. Please help if you can, I really wanna play this.

Am I doing something wrong?

admin 2018-03-27 0 point

Extracted perfectly with StuffIt Expander

gray4420 2018-03-26 0 point

The unstuffed file folder only contains .DS_Store....

gray4420 2018-03-26 0 point

Do you have an hqx? It would be so much easier.

gray4420 2018-03-26 0 point

Yeah, I got a running os7.5.3 in Basilisk II, with Stuffit Expander 5.5, and this SIT file is just not extracting....I've been at it for hours and I think there is actually something wrong with this file.

In case you didn't know, this will only run on old Power PC Macs. If you have an Intel mac (which means Macs released after 2006, I think), this won't run.

You can only do it by using an emulator such as Sheepshaver or Basilisk, but even that is tricky to set up. I struggled for hours last year to make it work with Power Pete.
