Well, since it took a lot of time to make this game run on my PC, and on two displays at once w/ wireless keyboard, if anyone encounters any problems maybe this comment will be of help.

First try compatibility mode w/ Win XP S2, run as admin, and see if it works. If not, download dgvoodoo2.xx latest version, read how to run it (quite simple -you might need x64/86 files, I had to play around with those at first). The config app only gives you one display option so make sure you have disabled your integrated GPU to choose your primary option there (two displays, my second one was a tv). You can do it in your device manager. Once that option has become available, now select it and save it thru the config --- next go enable your internal GPU again, option two should be available. Dgvoodoo has a drop-down menu to choose which GPU card you want to run, choose your primary and choose display. I copied the settings from a post on another forum - https://imgur.com/p78fcyi (use the latest DirectX available + I have VRAM at 4k+ which doesn't seem to affect anything). Now, this should have solved your problems w/ DirectX drivers (I had that problem as well, and used the register editor method but to no avail). Only two more things to do, but first if the game is asking for a CD-Rom like in my case, I had to delete some code from the exe file to fix it (I did this a few years ago because the CD is completely useless to play the game). Link: https://www.4shared.com/file/iFpZGfhvfa/RoadWars__Kopio.html (Note : file mirrored on this page as NoCD)

Once in-game, there were some settings to still change that affected the performance, mainly the game shutting down as I entered a race or a garage: https://imgur.com/a/VbtV4cS

Once you start changing these, the game might actually black out and even if you shut it down the music will keep playing, so instead of restarting the PC just open the exe file again and change them until all is done and you can play the game (after reboot because that music just rips your ears off). Now after everything is done, I still don't have a definitive solution to how to stop the game from lagging in certain instances for a few milliseconds, might need to adjust the graphics settings some more but overall you won't lose much because the game is as good to play on low settings as maxed out.

If this is your first time handling Bin files, check out the 'virtual clonedrive app, you can open the file w/ one click, very easy and convenient.

Have fun playing the game, I hope some of these things help and I recommend checking out how to run any game without CD-rom if you're into retro-gaming, because it's just a few lines of code in this case and very easy to edit for a noob. You can burn the bin file ofc but I didn't have my leftover CDs with me at the time of writing so that is that.

Beware of this game a bit if you happen too be running a wireless headset of some variety, at least for my corsair wireless headset here running windows 7 & forcing compatibility mode too windows xp sp2 or sp3...

The game forces volume too 100%.
Blasted my ears quite a bit starting it up & it seems too do it every time blaring that rock at 100% volume every time.
