I recommend the JAST Versions, even though its a way bigger download since it tries to package 2 other games with it, it is still worth it. Since the QoL improvements make a far less of a pain than the original DOS Game to Run/Look Good. The JAST version allows you to switch the Graphics, BG Border and Music between the Original and "Enhanced" anytime you want. So you won't lose anything but will gain all the QoL elements to Save/Settings/Full Screen Support that it offers. The download speed isn't bad either usually around 30-45 min with a 50 mbs/s internet. I recommend it

Use the JAST version with the original graphics and BG frame. Music has very minor differences hardly noticeable which one you use.
As for the graphics the "enhanced" version simply consists of a smoothing filter, that makes the beautiful art looks out of focus, blurry, or like vaseline smear in my opinion. There is no redrawn or remade/remastered art as far as I can see. You can change between the Original or Enhanced Graphics, Border Frame (the playable screen will be within this border always) or music at any time. The effects take hold the moment the next scene shows up or you have the option to soft restart the game as the prompt will say to get it. So during installation don't worry too much over the option of enhanced versus original, as you get both. The installer simply sets one as default for the first time.
As for the features the JAST version has many QoL improvements like a visible Save/Load feature, Full Screen Support with black borders outside the 4:3 ratio, Music BGM controls, CG Gallery on title screen. But the DOS versions has better opening effects/visuals and a better title screen UI. But, the pros for the DOS pretty much end with that title screen since you need to go through the hassle of mounting it and running it through DOSBOX's text interface or something similar each time. So, go for the JAST which mounts the ISO, you can use tools like DAEMON and it pretty much installs with a desktop shortcut and everything if you want. Just click and play. Works fine on Windows 10, zero issues and the graphics looks clean and sharp.
Also, the Save/Load feature works, however it isn't like modern VNs where you can save/load on any frame/screen. You save at any time, however the load will always bring you to the start of an event. These events aren't explicit. It isn't something the game tells you, but it's the only way I can describe the save/load mechanic for this game. Each chapter has many events I call it,where you have to do a bunch of actions to advance to the next event like "Think", "Examine", "Talk" after the usual VN like click to advance the text progression. When you complete them and all the options are grey in color you move on to the next event, usually indicated by a change in scenery.
Basically the "Load" brings you to the start of whatever event your save is at, even though the save itself can save just about anywhere. It's a flaw/feature of the engine that the load will always bring you back to the start of it. Though it isn't too bad since each event can be completed in anywhere from 2-10 mins. Long story short the Save/Load feature while confusing works as intended by the devs. Also, doesn't reset when you exit the game and restart it.

There is a save feature while playing throue the chapters press escape and the option to save, load and back to the menu will be there. If you navigate the game correctly when you look at the character info there will be a stamp on the girls that have "fallen" for you. that stamp unlocks an intimate hentai scenario with the girls with intercourse.

I found a cheat for this game to quickly access the endings, and have them registered.
First, go to the folder named OVL, and find CS102.OVL, name it cs102.ovl.back
Next, rename the following files ONE AT A TIME to cs102.ovl
cse_1_a.ovl
cse_1_b.ovl
cse_1_c.ovl
cse_1_d.ovl
cse_1_e.ovl
cse_1_f.ovl
cse_1_g.ovl
cse_1_h.ovl
Next enjoy the endings.

i think you might be able to save the game if you right click anywhere on the screen in the game. at the bottom of the screen there's a black area where you choose how you interact with the characters. this menu changes to give you the options to save or load when you right click the screen. right click your mouse again to go back to the regular menu options.

Most importantly, but the f*cking game onto your C drive, then run Saku-FM from Dosbox (0.74, newest ATM, supports it fully).
The game itself is sh1t, a virtual novel with too little graphics than a game (screw Hentai content, adults don't give a turd), I couldn't care less if it wasn't for the main heroines being based off CLAMP's Magic Knights, which is one of my fave shows.

Actually I did't download from the link above, but I think it's the same. Copy only the sub-folder called "Season of the Sakura" to your DosBox folder, rename it to short filename to avoid error (I renamed it "sakura").
Fire up DosBox, mount the folder as you usually do, go to the "sakura" folder (or whatever you renamed it into), type "cd Saku_D", then run "SAKU-FM.BAT". Works like charm.
In case I was wrong and our downloads aren't the same, I got mine from this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?0213jqoywkm

Is there an option to "Stick It In?"
Is said option always available?

Ignore my last post, I was misled by the frames around the screenshots which are similar to the first Windows version, which is almost impossible to find today anyway. I don't know why you were having problems saving though. Again DOSBOX solves almost all problems you might come across running old DOS games.

I just noticed that this is not the original DOS version. Jast's first re-release of this game was very buggy, there are fixes and patches out there, but it's better to get the JAST Memorial Version(Which also contains Runaway City and Three Sister's Story), or if you don't mind 8 bit colors, see if you can find the DOS version(Which is the one I have)

I never had problems saving or loading this game myself. are you running it in DOSBOX?, if you are your version may be corrupted. And choices ARE important in this game, the object is to win one and only one of the girls in each game, and bad choices will often cause you to have a girl you've been working on reject you on Christmas Eve or White Day. You may just be prejudiced because you were unable to save and had to play the game through in a single sitting, which WOULD make it less than enjoyable, especially if you made errors in one or more of your choices. The only thing I don't like about this game are that you can only get one girl at a time, which means you have to play it through eight times to get all the H-Scenes. I also personally found the H-scene with Seia to be disturbing(Date raping a religious girl in a church on Christmas Eve? How selfish and unfeeling is that!)

It would be decent is not for several crushing failures. For one, the save/load function seems to be faulty; you can load a save fine from within the game, however, all data is erased when you quit. This means it's a game that has to be beaten in a single sitting. This is also a problem because the game is absurdly long due to the requirement for you to perform every available action in order to advance. Lastly, there seems to be no real choices; often, the game will down-right ignore a choice, and just send you down a pre-decided path. All-in-all, it's not worth the time.
