Why can't this game be remastered? It would be so cool if the style of this game stayed the same but had an online multiplayer function. Especially for Windows 10 and 11
I am firmly convinced that many players would buy it if it was offered as a remastered version on Steam.

Estou com dificuldade em baixar esse jogo! Não roda de jeito nenhum, não sei onde coloca o spoolls, e não encontro um arquivo que funcione de verdade. Alguém poderia me ajudar enviando alguma solução por email?

Thank you very much @dickname and @silverdino. I managed to get the game to run, but now I have another problem... the colored pipes you need to pass through are whited out. As you need to know what color they are in order to change your snake's color accordingly and pass through safely, this breaks the game. Please contact me on Discord if you know the solution to this...

Okay, bois! Here´s watcha gonna do!
Take the weird installer with the demonic language and change compatibility options to "Windows Vista" or lower, "run as administrator" and "reduced color mode" (I think color mode is optional, not sure), but doing this made the install work without errors. Now that you have your folder with the game, download a 32-bit version of the spools.dll from the link provided somewhere above, (scroll down to the bottom to a version of spoolss.dll from 2008, or something like that), then put it in the game directory, and voila, now you are one of very few people with a fully functional full version of Snake Arena!

Beautiful, thank you for this archive. I don't quite trust the site enough to download and run the executable, but the screenshots might be enough for what I want anyway. I'm going to TRY to re-create this game from memory (hence why the screenshots are helpful) using Unity3d, though it's more of a practice project for me so no promises.

The main game's installer is written in a demonic language I cannot understand. All I know for sure it was throwing me several errors during the install process.
But! I got the demo working by placing the needed .dll file (see previous comment) in the game directory and then running the game in compatibility mode:
Executable context menu properties compatibility compatibility mode enable Windows 98 or Windows ME apply
No need to build your own .dll file. (Not that I know how) If that doesn't run the game, then I don't know what will, but you can contact me on Discord if you still need help:

I got it to work by downloading the oldest version of the spoolss.dll file from this site:

How do u make this work? I can't install it (or even figure out how) bcuz all the text in the installer is just a bunch of gibberish

I'd be very interested in that custom .dll too. Playing this game would be a nostalgic kick for me, so I'm very keen on doing it. Even tried building my own spoolss dll as you mentioned, just including an empty void AbortPrinter function, but I don't really have much knowledge on dlls and that doesn't seem to to the job.
So if you're still around to provide me your file, I'd be very happy! Can contact me on Discord awakenedCrowl#1412 or email (ndragon1412bloopers@gmail.com)

Does anyone know how to register the game anywhere? I can't seem to find out how to do so. You may message me on discord @RadRolla#5465

Right now I'm trying to create the dll, but if I fail, I would love for you, GHO or anyone that have it, to send it to me, my discord is Leier#1353, will be waiting! C:

Could you send me the spoolss.dll? Do you have discord? My name is Marcel#8470, thanks a lot :)

the game links spoolss.dll that is no longer supported on recent OS (tested on Win7 and Win10). Even downloading spoolss.dll from some dll site doesn't fix the problem because the dll crashes on load.
I fixed the problem by building a fake spoolss.dll with a single fake function inside (AbortPrinter, the game can do without!) and placing the dll in the game folder to please the linker and start the game.
I can't upload the file here, if anyone is interested to this game let me know, I will upload somewhere else.
