Off-road career play lets you drive your way to the top in the championship series standings; design your own rugged race courses with the back designer feature lay out the course, design the terrain and add road surfaces for gear grinding action; choose from 3 Off-road vehicles to master the all around traction of a 4 wheel drive truck, the gentile touch and finesse of a two-wheel drive tuck or the maneuvering flexibility of a 150 horsepower buggy; real world car physics and support for force-feedback controllers lets you felt the crunch and bumps of realistic, vehicle damage trade point with your competition and feel the friction.

How to play SODA Off-Road Racing Windows

Install & play guide:

Mount the disk image. It's a .CUE-file (disk image), you will need the utility for mounting disk image files, Windows 8 and 10 has built-in utility
Install the game
Open the directory with the game and find offroad.exe. Right click on offroad.exe - Properties - Compatibility - Set "Run this app in compatibility mode with Windows XP"
Launch the game and play. If the game doesn't run - open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del by default) and check for processes offroad.exe and rundll32.exe. Close offroad.exe but don't touch rundll32.exe (it's a Windows app for running old apps from 32-bit operational systems, most old games running through rundll32.exe). Now try to launch the game again, it must work. Don't forget to close rundll32.exe process in Task Manager after finishing playing.
If you have graphical glitches, use dgVoodoo and set 'Reduced color mode' to 8 bit in the app compatibility options

I have been looking everywhere for this game and couldn't remember the name of it.
Finally found it here and as soon as I saw the screenshots the memories started pouring in. I remember building tracks for hours at a time and then racing them. This was such a fun game. I wish I still had my retail big box copy, but that was discarded when I got married and moved out. Thank you for this site!

I've been playing SODA since its release. I load it every few years and try to break track records which never gets old. The people who didn't give it a chance missed a gem of a game. Intense addictive racing once you get it, frustrating as hell until you do.

This game has absolutely amazing physics for it's time, even playing it with a steering wheel now is great fun. A lot of the same people went on to make NR2003, which is popular to this day.
