As if Star Fleet 1 weren't complex enough, Interstel outdid itself with the sequel a year later that simulates even more ship systems, with many more commands and a more sophisticated combat model. The added complexity, unfortunately, hurts the game more than enhances it, as many new commands make actions needlessly complicated.
Ultimately, the added realism factors take away much of the fun from the already realistic engine of its classic predecessor.

@John, this is a year late, but here it is: to adjust the orbit level up or down you can't use the arrow keys, but instead use [SHIFT] + the directionals on the number pad. (Make sure the number key is locked on.) You have to be immediately next to the other ship for tractor to work.

The tutorials can be found in the Steam game page for the new 2.0 version that is supposed to be released in 2021.

I put the tutorial files in the main folder, and the tutorials seem to load when I start the main game. But no guidance is provided. It is like a sandbox mission, with no objective. Am I doing something wrong that the tutorial guidance is not showing up?

This is a really fun game if you put in the time. I am trying the tutorial disk. On Tutorial #6, you can use the tractor beam. But before you do that, you need to get to the same orbit as the ship being towed. You suppose to use [SHIFT] [UP] or [DOWN] to adjust the orbit per the tutorial manual. Except it does not work. Does anyone know what key or what step to get into the sync orbit so you can use the tractor beam? Thanks.

There is a tutorial load found on the second disk of the game. I have not been able to find that anywhere.
