Description of The Adventures of MicroMan
MicroMan, is an arcade-action style game for Windows. The object of MicroMan is to run, jump, duck, climb and shoot your way past the enemies while exploring new areas and collecting special powerups! MicroMan's up-beat music, spectacular sounds, colorful graphics and addictive gameplay run smoothly on virtually any computer system!
History of Microman
Microman was created by Brian L. Goble and started as a graphical demo of the library called WAP developed by him, which he was trying to sell to game developers. This library aimed to establish a standard for game creation (similar to what DirectX did in the following years). However, the demo became more popular than the animation library itself, prompting Goble to turn that demo into a Shareware title (The Adventures of Microman) in 1995, becoming one of the best puzzle/action titles for Windows 3.1. The game was notable for incorporating high-quality digitized audio and smooth animations.
In 1999, Goble released a new version (compatible with Win95 and later) called "Crazy Computers," which upon purchase, entitled players to the second adventure: "Savage Stones," and teased the third adventure: "Wild Waters," which never saw publication, with only a few screenshots available.
Brian L. Goble also worked as a software engineer at Monolith Productions from its inception in 1994 until 2002, contributing to games like Shogo, Blood 2: The Chosen, Claw, No One Lives Forever, among others.
As a fun fact, in Blood 2: The Chosen, there is a cheat code "mpgoble" that displays the message: "Brian L. Goble is a programming god!", a cheat code that also exists in Claw.

"The Adventures of Microman" is such a nostalgic little platformer, seen it on many compilations back in the day, this is the shareware version (only includes the first chapter "Crazy Computers" ver 1.5), this is not a DOS game but a Windows 3.1 title which means to get it to work you have to download Win 3.1 emulator (or running 3.1 through DOSBox), or VM running windows 95 (since it's supports DOS and WIN 3.1 games). i played this version 1.5 and 2.0 version. the only differences is the 2.0 has better compatibility, it's supports both 16 and 32 bit, and runs smoothly, however they changed tue voices, in the 1.5 they have this more 1960/70's cheesy but memorable robotic voices and ones of the robots lines is "YOU WILL DIE!" and when you pick up an item a crowd of people saying out loud you what item you have picked up. in 2.0 registered version they changed the cheesy robotic voices for a deep booming echoey voice for everything inclusing the robots, the main character and for collecting items. They even changed the "you will die!" line from the robots to "you will fall!" which sound more tame, but it’s a nitpick. it did got a seconed chapter "Savage Stones" (also known as Microman 2) which came out in 1999, but it's not the easiest game to find online i did finally found it but it took some digging. a third chapter was planned called "Wild Waters" or Microman 3, but it got scrapped after chapter 2 for some reason.
