I spent a lot of time playing this. One of the things I had the most fun with was opening the game saved files (or was it another file?) and modifying my ship and crew to absolutely anything available with no limits or restrictions. Lol, it was a lot of fun cruising through the game watching what would happen in a basically undefeatable super ship.

Played apple version Schofield barracks in 82 and C64 after 84. I loved closing the range and firing plasma across your path then photons to rip the shields before the impacts. Very satisfying.... The game was brutal if I knew what you planned to do.... my opponents got hard lessons...

I LOVED that game!
You could customize all aspects of a ship. You had to try and anticipate what your opponent was going to do. You had to give the ship it's orders for each tick of a round. Like move forward for 4 ticks, then turn 45 degrees, then fire all port weapons. If your opponent didn't do what you expected, then you missed entirely.
