Description of The Demon's Forge
The first adventure game Mastertronic released is one of the most difficult adventures ever, with its extremely unforgiving puzzles and frequent deaths.
For killing the king's guards, you have been sentenced to the Demon's Forge, a deadly maze you must get out to earn your freedom form the king. Puzzles are logical, but as I said they are very difficult, so be warned.

Don't bother using the command "drop" unless you want to get rid of inventory. Don't try to read the 78 books. Don't spend any time talking to anything either. Don't forget to save the game. And for god's sake, whatever you do, don't try to take the sword from the stone. You're not the king of England.

I've been trying to remember the name of this game forever because of a walkthrough for this that I wrote when I was a kid... after I remembered the name, a google search top result actually gave me the walkthrough that some guy cut and pasted without the parsing. LOL amusing that it's still around. It really is NOT that difficult.
Here it is... [Admin's note] The walkthrough have been edited and uploaded in the downloads, thank you Wixman!

I got the dirt mound and at this point used a walkthrough, and don't regret doing so. The syntax is so limited, USE or LOOK result in "I don't know how" messages. PUT and THROW simply DROP your items. PUT IN ignores everything else you type and DROPS your item, except that one time when the game designer decides to change his command rules. Inconsistent command line usage make for faggot tier "riddles". It frustrates to no end that I obviously thought of putting things in the hopper, but stopped bothering because you just drop the item. Command line inconsistencies and severe textual limitations are the greatest puzzles here. Add in the decoys and you're wasting your time playing trial and error keyboard commando.
