Description of TrackMania Sunrise
Here is the video game “TrackMania Sunrise”! Released in 2005 on Windows, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's a racing / driving game, set in a tricks / stunts, automobile, track racing and puzzle elements themes.
A fast paced, ultra realistic graphics racing game. Originally made for Windows XP and incompatible with later systems, now patched by the gaming community and works like a dream. Also already updated for the eXtreme expansion.

maybe the old nadeo servers were shut down, for exeample on july 29th they shut down the old demo servers (i think its tm 2003 or newer)

Hey. I was able to play this game until about halfway through the first Bay series. When I try to play "OnTheRoofAgain" the game states the challenge can't be opened due to a missing block (BayPlatformSlope2TransitionBiSlopeStartMirror). I re-installed the game in a different folder and something similar happens for the 1st island track. Beyond compare doesn't show any delta between GameData folders of the 2 installations so it seems like blocks are not missing. Anyone else experience this??

@NAME The download of the game has been updated with dgVoodoo so Complex shadows now work.
@DJSORU I know this is an old comment but anyway, United is a downgrade and moving files from the older games to it is not a solution for a variety of reasons, it just gives you a worse experience.

just to let everyone know, don't use complex shadows in this or the original trackmania, it breaks the lighting completely

When I run through the first level, a significant amount of the road textures are missing and replaced by a solid white mass. Any solutions?

game doesnt save input settings and when i restart the game reverts back to the normal input settings. Any idea what causes this?

@djsoru just to add, this doesn't have the the same physics engine as the forever games, the cars are a little lighter weight so you tend to carry more air time in the older titles, this was fixed in united/nations forever.

I'm amazed the community managed to do a repack of Sunrise. One might question why bother with this if you can buy United on Steam and have the entire series environments, but United doesn't include the tracks featured in Sunrise, so at the very least one should grab this if they own United and port the Sunrise tracks onto the other game the very least.
We need the same done with the original Trackmania.
