Variable Fighter and Veritech are terms from the Macross universe, which is where this flight simulator is located. It was created with Domark's then quite new Flight Sim Toolkit, which is the reason why it is completely free, since the developers were unsure about Domark's policy regarding distribution of games created with their Toolkit.
