Follow up.
Use the game setup to set everything to the lowest possible, resolution to 640x480 and disable all effects and the 3D section won't crash, it will not draw any 3D models at all but all you have to do is shoot at the reticles.

Tried to get it running on PCem using windows 98 with a voodoo 3, it always crashes on the 3D section just like booting it on modern windows.

I managed to get this game to work on a virtual machine using Windows 98 and on Windows 2000. It starts out as an adventure (point and click) game. Overall that part ran fine, no issues. But, the moment you get to the space shooter part of the game, it will crash.
I only managed to get as far as the first space shooter game and manage to play about 30 seconds of the shooter before the game crashed. Even after a few more attempts, it crashes at the exact same spot. Probably due to the 3D rendering issue.
I will agree with TULORAN that it's a lot of work to get his game to run period.

I managed to get it to work on windows 10 but once your on the battle sequence the game will crash

okay nevermind i used windows 2000 and the game kinda worked but it needs the cd in the drive to work and the game is laggy as hell

Sorry fore the late reply - anyway, I used a physical machine capable of running Windows Millenium (this means using an AGP graphics card, not PCIe). The Nvidia FX5900XT is readily available on eBay and does an OK job.
If you prefer using a virtual machine, maybe you want to give Vmware Workstation a try. Either way it's a lot of work for a game that's not really worth it.

hey tulnoran How did you make it work? I use virtualbox wvista 32bits and when this is in the game and I give it in the first option I get a message in Russian and I don't know what to do

This game cannot be run on modern systems, not even with the use of emulators. I set up a retro machine using an Nvidia FX5900XT AGP graphics card and Windows ME. Game generally ran fine but crashed many times at the end of the fight sequences.

complete bs waited downloading these 2.7G file for hrs when its done all the iso files are corrupted and can't mount
