This version is missing all the FMVs... which are kind of important because they explain your mission objectives and this game is a confusing enough mess as it is. Archive.org has the complete CD image; you don't need to use DOSBox to install, just mount it and copy "TEKWAR" somewhere. As Retro Pixel Lizard said, use BuildGDX for widescreen, better mouselook, etc. if you really want to subject yourself to this.

I played the shareware forever ago and forgot the name. Glad I found it so I can play this masterpiece. I'm surprised Quake, Doom, or Duke Nukem ever got any steam when there were games like this out there!

This is not just an awful game, but one of the most awful games to exist on the face of the earth thanks to Capstone: The Pinnacle of Build Engine incompotence, with their terrible decisions in game design it's almost like a freak show of gaming.
A few things to expect
* Ceiling turrets that shouldn't move, somehow move.
* Water you don't swim in, just walk on the floor
* Ladders are swim/water zones (WHY?)
* Civilians walking into moving cars you'll get blamed for in the debriefing
* Inconistent lighting
* The infamous Matrix level
If you still want to experience this for yourself, run it on BuildGDX which also has working mouse aiming, good luck.

What an ugly thing, saying this video is your CALEBWITHOUTOPHELIA? Anyway, thank you for the disclosure.
Hi, my name's Marvox and this video (https://youtu.be/Qmjk42xUlMw) was made in 2015/2016 when my friend and I created the 'Canal Jornada Gamer' (or 'Gamer Journey Channel', in English), it was one of the hardest recordings because on YouTube there were low resolution gameplays. Luckily I have the original game saved and I was able to make this full recording. Although not one of the best games, it is nonetheless a curious 1995 history on an Engine that would be best used with Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Shadow Warrior, etc.
By the way, you are all invited to follow the Gamer Jornada Channel, we are from Brazil, but there you can find a lot of PC game longplays, mainly oldschool First-person Shooters... Our channel is 5 years old and we keep burning the road - http://www.youtube.com/jornadagamer
Enjoy!

Never figured out what you're supposed to do in the game. It was interesting to find new types of weapons in various parts of the map though.

William Shatner is a cool dude. I like this game despite some shortcomings.

Tekwar has to be one the worse FPS of the 90s that utilised the Kens build engine, nicely designed levels but awful textures, and photo-realistic low res people make this game a disaster. This is not aging well!
