"Malice" is an awsome Total Conversion of Quake. for starters it actually has a plot, voice acting and banging soundtrack!. it plays great. the team who did this TC did really care about making something awsome from the quake engine.
it's supported on open sources such as "Quakespasm" and "DirectQ", i only used this 2 source ports, they are the only ones i got the music to work. however after you download the files, make sure you have the music files (some downloads the music it's missing) and you do needs some patchs due to texture issues. after you done fixing this problem put the main file in the quake directory as MALICE, make shortcut copy of the main open source excution file. it's quicker and easier then using a quake launcher (which is a waste of time), then right click go the properties, on the target put in after "exe" type -game MALICE. then that shortcut will be the main launch for MALICE. on both source ports thankfully the demos on the menu work. personally i perfer DirectQ source ports i got all the quake stuff to work on it without any issues.
