How to play Shadowrun Windows
The online community from ShadowrunFPS.com kindly provided their repack, much easier to use than the original disc. Follow these steps or use the dedicated install page:
- Download & Install Games For Windows Live - you'll get a Connection Error, it's normal.
- Download and unpack the DXVK Repack on this page, which is prepatched and fixed, then launch
Shadowrun.exe - If you’d like to play online, you’ll need to sign-in with a Microsoft account and have an activation key (follow this tutorial). Attention, the first time login/activation can take 5-20 minutes.
Otherwise for offline bot matches, clickCreate New AccountandCreate a local accountlike this https://imgur.com/a/FilA9NQ - Configure Resolution and In-game advanced video settings, you must disable Vertical Sync in the in-game Advanced Video settings.
- Join the dedicated Discord discord.gg/Shadowrun and play! For Public Matches, 4 or more people are required to start and can be dependent on the time of day.

This was Shadowrun in name only. A great RPG should never be morphed into a shooter. Absolute failure! Skip this and play the Sega or SNES versions or the triology made by Hairbrained Schemes for PC.

For me the sage one is were it's at. Some like the snes one but there two different games. Not to mention snes don't have u making runs into the matrix, crashing systems on a Corp run to disable alarm, shut sec cams down and more. ( runs to go play Sega versions ( abbacbba

Why? We had Unreal Arena 3, Halo 3 and so many other good Multiplayer FPS at that time. It didn't even uses the setting to have any unique element. You could play has a Metahuman and use some spells, but the game was at most a Tactical shooter with almost Quake/Unreal movement and not even a campaign mode.
Worst of it, we had to wait like 8 years or so for an actual Shadowrun CRPG.
