I payed $10 for this back in the day. Hi-Tech Expressions may be the worst gaming company of all time. They turned arcade and console classics into crap. Made the most terrible games I ever played on a PC. This is a sorry excuse for a port. It makes Karate Champ look like Soul Caliber. Horrible controls and the absolute worst game play of any fighting game. Same company that made horrible versions of good games like Mega Man & Ninja Gaiden. Made stupid Disney games that were even more retarded than the already bad console versions. Even Ducktales for PC sucked and was actually a good game on NES.

“But Reyce”, I hear you cry, “Street Fighter invented a whole genre!”. Yes it did, I at least admit that. But in many ways that’s just like being the inventor of the guitar, Adolph Rickenbacker. He may have invented it but he’s not exactly Jimi Hendrix. Unlike with Wasteland, I can’t envision how anyone could’ve created the amazing Street Fighter 2 after seeing or playing this. I can respect the idea but respect does not mean that I liked it or even enjoyed it. This was a horrible experience

If any of you found the arcade version of Street Fighter a terrible game, then play this pathetic attempt at entertainment. In the original arcade version, the special moves are very difficult to pull off, no, how about not having them at all? I bet that's what these jackasses thought.

Terribly bad version or a great arcade game. Sequel was much more like the arcade.

This is the game that started it all.Ryu is overpowered in this game, but will help you win this game.Played it on the Xbox, as part of the Capcom Street Fighter 20th anniversary package.
Not sure if this game actually runs in its original mode, but would be worth the play.
