Description of The Amazing Spider-Man

A fun platform game featuring Spider-Man, this game makes good use of his unique superpowers: you can climb walls, throw spider bombs, and shoot grappling hooks.

Enemies are numerous but dumb, as you can just wait near edges to take them out from long range. Still, the game does give a good feel for Spidey and his webby powers. :)

You can activate a 'cheat' mode by typing 'SPIDEY'S GONNA CHEAT!' as your name in the high scores table. From then on, you can refill your energy by pressing enter. Remember discovering this many, many years ago by disassembling the game.

wish it was faster, but i liked to play as a small spiderman that can climb anywhere. I remember taking a peek at the final screen by not entering the building and going straight ahead and up afterwards.(!) could never complete it.

I don't care what anyone else said about this game, it was one of the most fun dos games I ever played as a kid. I didn't even care about the no-save issue, because I just loved playing it! I'm sure emulators can be rigged to save them now. Will definitely be beating this game now, because I never could before!

This game is very, very nice...but there's only a way to finish it. Cheating!!!

No saving, extreme difficulty, too many rooms. Nice graphics and nice 360 degrees Spidey control. But it tends to become annoying.

It could have been a great game, but it isn't.
2 stars.
