Tower
Windows 3.x - 1995
Description of Tower
Undoubtedly one of the best air traffic controller simulations ever made, Tower is an outstanding Windows 3.1 update of the venerable sim ATC (a.k.a.
Tracon 2) by the master of flight simulators and longtime partner of Microsoft, Tower is undeniably the best simulation of air traffic controller on the market today. The myriad of options include weather options, adjustable difficulty level, and excellent on-line help thanks to Windows. As a testament to how amazingly realistic Tower is, imagine a 360 degree panaromic photo from KDCA tower where arriving and departing planes actually move realistically across the environment. The interface takes some getting used to, but the versatility and complexity is well worth the effort. The pilot voice is very realistic. The plane types match what's on the flight strips -- which can print out just like the real thing.
Best of all, the game plays great on newer Windows systems (e.g. 95/98/2000/ME). Definitely not to be missed!

Used to play this for hours. Prefer it over just about all computer games

Hello, I´m ATC TWR instructor OJT, does anyone know how to get lower sensitivity on the mouse on this simulator? I can only run it via 3d tracking but on normal mode just moves super fast.
Thanks in advance

This download is a hard disk Image to be used with DOSBox. The problem is that we need the geometry information (CHS) to be able to use it. So, this image does not work without this information.

This download for BAO Tower is a bootable hard disk image for DOSBox. It includes a pre-installed version of MS-DOS v6.22, Windows 3.1, and Tower. I'm running into a problem though: I can boot the hard disk image just fine in DOSBox, run Windows, and start Tower, but I get NO sound in Tower. I have sounds in Windows 3.1 (e.g. playing MIDI files and WAV sound files in the Windows 3.1 media player, as well as hearing the Windows 3.1 system event sounds), but I hear NO spoken sounds in Tower. Does anyone have any idea a fix for this?
