I like the illustrations they made, especially the vampire. He looks like Cesar Romero.

The vampire is at your neck, because it's midnight!

darkstar, you are a dork, replying to a 6 year old comment with a screed, lol. this game stinks, and is obtuse for the sake of being obtuse, with the only excuse being "concealed goals"

Dimwit, you definitely are a dimwit. This game is awesome. It's quite difficult to get through your first time as you're timed and the vampire will get you if you don't get him first. If you know how to play through it, it's simple... But all these old text based games all roughly did about the same thing. Descriptions and you could only use 2 - 3 word commands. This goes from Zork, to Colossal Cave, to this one... They all did about the same thing. You don't NEED vast descriptions of rooms as you get to picture it in your mind, hence the vagueness. It was all about reading, making choices, and picturing everything yourself in your own mind. They were almost like interactive books... But in game form.

I love this game. Not because it is so good, but precisely because of a specific problem my copy had. It wasn't too bad of a game for the time, but the copy I got when i was 9 years old had a bug in the dictionary of three letter words that would not let me progress in the game. This led me to print out all 181 lines of BASIC so I could find the problem. This game is want launched my career as a programmer.

This game is terrible. No description of rooms. Computer only recognizes first three letters of a word.
