Description of Autofrag: SUMO
Autofrag: SUMO is a car combat arena game designed around ramming your foes out the track. The game features a career mode where the player must enter and battle through the Autofrag championship, managing their resources and upgrading their arsenal throughout their career. Originally released as a web game in 2004, Autofrag became a fully fledged title in the same year once its web release saw popularity. The game features 28 stages to battle through across 7 leagues and a career system where opponent AIs are able to earn money and upgrade like the player can.
The full release includes 24 new stages with 8 environments, 4 new cars and 4 new weapons along with 2 extra gamemodes. It can be unlocked by registry editing.

How to play Autofrag: SUMO Windows
Since this game runs on Director, Shockwave must be installed before playing. If you run into a blackscreen, use the Shockwave fix and reboot your computer. (might get detected as a virus, it is a false positive) Both are provided in the fix file in this page.
The full game is installed alongside the demo provided in the download, it can only be unlocked via registry editing:

If it's not there, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Melted Media\AutofragSumo, create "DigitalKey" and then add the value

This part may be optional: open up Notepad as administrator and open up the file C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts. At the end of this file, add the line:
96.47.236.73 www.meltedgames.co.uk
Save the file, you must have file extensions on in order to delete the ".txt" and make it work.
Open up the game, click on register, enter in an e-mail and a serial number (real or fake, just 1111-1111-1111-1111 works), and click on register. It should work. You can then remove the last line from your hosts file if you want. If you've put an e-mail and serial before the regedit, the game should unlock as soon as you boot it up.

WOOFBOY99 when I just installed Melted Media it wasn't in Wow6432Node, but directly HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Melted Media/AutofragSumo do I need to create a folder there? And did you register with fake serial online?

January 19, 2025: The game works fine, but there's a TYPO on the tutorial. You have to go to :
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Melted Media\AutofragSumo"

Then you create the DigitalKey string and put the code:

I know. Melted Media seems to be gone for good and the connection required is essential for the regedit method to work. It should be possible to get it working without any regedit or authentication/connection required, but since the person who's doing it is busy, it will take a little

the problem is not because of regedit, but I think it's online validation, even though regedit is correct but the game still asks for online validation for the serial number and the website can't connect even though I've changed the hosts to 96.47.236.73, it still won't work, the game always ends with "There has been an error (error 4146) connecting to the server, please ensure you are connected to the internet and try again"

I've gotten a friend of mine to see if he could unlock the full game without any regediting required, he's found quite a lot and once he has the time he's sure he can pull it off easily

If i missed something on registry, what is that? I do make a key DigitalKey and value posted on it. But the game still want validate online

for the registry, I have followed your instructions but the meltedmedia location is not virtual store or wow6432node, but in hkey_local_machine/software/meltedmedia/autofragsumo in autofragsumo I created a DigitalKey and entered the value according to the instructions. After that, I edited hosts with 96.47.236.73 but the error 4146 still appeared.

I have follow the introduction to unlock full game, but when i click on register after put email and serial number, server error with message "Cannot connected to the server" this method is real or fake ?
