The game with patch 1.02 has been tested on Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 8.1, works fine. If you play on Windows 10 it is recommended to run the game in compatibility mode with Windows Vista

I think chess is in coins. Humans forever play in one face. Now I'm playing on another face: "Antichess". Computers are like fortres where the owner forgets to close the small door at the back. You must enter through this door. Forget the front, but I forgot the side door, and in the end I chose to breed donkeys, oh it's so beautiful

I've downloaded Chessmatser11 Grandmaster Edition and i've to say it works amazing, even the database. I was looking for so long to have a The Chessmaster game again, cause lost mine years ago during moving out. Been using it since Chessmaster 4000 till Chessmaster 9000. Never had the last ones, thx that i'm able to have the latest one this way.
The one i liked most in the past was this version: The Chessmaster 5500 Deluxe Edition

If you install this [ I used virtual box windows 8.1] you have to turn off 3d acceleration in the display settings to avoid the game screen going black after startup. It'll display for a second then go black if you have 3d acceleration checked. i asm going for xp sp3 next

I'm so happy I could DL this one, I've been playing CM since the 3000-4000 series, there were fantastic at that time and they are still today. The only drawback in this 11th edition is that the fonts are a bit dark in the menus, but otherwise the learning features are simply fantastic. A must for any beginner of the game.

Worked great on Windows 11 without any modification or tweaks. Was so relieved that it was virus-free. Still, good practice to scan the files for viruses with an anti-virus program. Didn't need to install the patch, it downloaded automatically from UbiSoft during installation. Be sure to install the DirectX driver during setup, you'll need a copy of that older driver to play the game (won't work without it). There's both an English and French version of the game, hence the larger file size. Owned several versions of this game when I was younger and loved the voice lessons and analysis. Now I'm introducing my son to the game. Thank you for making this available. Would have bought the software if it wasn't 17 years old lol.

Chessmaster academy and IM Josh Waitzkin tutorials are awesome
I first used it in 2011 I think when I started playing chess
I used Chessmaster3000 and 8000 at that time
I even saved to my cloud storage so I can provide to chess beginners
