Description of Evil Days of Luckless John

John is indeed luckless. Everything he ever started turned out to be a major disaster. Until one day a distant relative dies, and the only heir of his profitable casino is, of course, John. Is he going to be lucky this time? Already thinking about the money that is supposed to pour in, already thinking about spending all his future riches, suddenly reality strikes back at John - again. The Mob wants to get their hands on John's Casino. Being already responsible for the death of the former owner, John's appearance makes them very unhappy. It looks like John is in big trouble. At this point, the player takes control of this beautifully designed graphic adventure and has to make sure that John will lose his nick name, or die trying.

How to play Evil Days of Luckless John Windows

NoCD has a moderate detection ratio, use it at your own risk. Instead of using NoCD we recommend to play with disc image mounted in virtual drive.

The game has been tested on Windows 7 64-bit, works with no problem

Install & play guide:

Mount the disc image. You will need the utility for mounting disc image files, like WinCDEmu, UltraISO, Alcohol 52%/Alcohol 102% or Daemon Tools Lite
Install the game
Optionally install NoCD
Go to the directory with installed game and create desktop shortcut (Right click on engineen.exe - Send to - Desktop (create shortcut))
Launch the game from the icon on your desktop, play. If the game doesn't run - right click on icon - Properties - Compatibility - Set "Run this app in compatibility mode with Windows XP".
If the game doesn't run anyway - open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del by default) and check for processes wow.exe and rundll32.exe. Close wow.exe but don't touch rundll32.exe (it's a Windows app for running old apps from 32-bit operational systems, most old games running through rundll32.exe). Now try to launch the game again, it must work. Don't forget to close rundll32.exe process in Task Manager after finishing playing.

I recently found the Polish version of this game in my collection, but unfortunately I can't install it on Windows 10 and run it. I sent it to Archive.org for preservation. I tried other versions, but they cannot be installed either. Can anyone help me install this game on Win10? And I really appreciate your work MyAbandonware with forgotten abandoned games thanks to you I found a lot of interesting games. :)

This game was released in Poland too with subtitles:
- First time in 24 August 2009 under name: "Luckless John czyli od zera do milionera"
- Second time in 22 February 2011 under name: "Pechowiec John" or probably Its subname of magazine CD-EK Extra 2/2011

Info got from Facebook of publisher, PCCentre site and Youtube channel under the same name.
It seems that the Polish version is Lost Media on the internet.

@OSCAR. Setup only has russian language. You need to download the Disc image, which also has english language option.

I installed the game after downloading the setup thing. Is there a way to easily change the language? Or should I download the game in a different way?
